How to setup data access for DSStudio Viewer in Sage 50 / Peachtree Accounting.

Connecting DSStudio Viewer to Sage 50 / Peachtree Accounting Software

In order to generate reports, list, exports and such you need to grant DSStudio access to your accounting data. This access only allows users to read data from within your Sage 50 / Peachtree Accounting.  No data will be saved, changed or deleted from your accounting data.

To established this relationship, complete the following steps within Sage 50 or Peachtree Accounting Software.  It may be possible that you have already completed these steps for another software.  If so, just use the current username and password within DSStudio.  Remember that username is fixed at "Peachtree" and it not your normal Sage 50 / Peachtree login credentials.

1) Start Sage 50 / Peachtree Accounting

2) Open the company you wish to to use with DSStudio Viewer.

3) From the top Maintenance Menu select - Users (Located at the bottom), then select Set Up Security..

Depending upon your existing settings you may be prompted with the following dialog.
