DataSoft's Inventory Adjustments provides a rapid way to enter physical inventory count or inventory adjustments into Sage 50 and Peachtree Accounting Software.  This software provides all the default transaction information to allow the user to just enter the ItemID and quantity for each transaction.  All the calculations and accounting information is handled by the software.

Using this software will save you days of data entry and may be used throughout the year to adjust your inventory onhand quantities.  The benefits of eliminating errors and speed of entry is where this software shines.

DS Inventory Adjustments works with two different type of transactions:

These transaction will perform an adjustment that will make the transaction quantity the new onhand quantity as of the transaction date.  The software performs all the math to do the adjustment.

Quick Entry Screen

This is main entry screen, here you enter your Inventory Adjustments.  Only two fields are required: Item ID and Quantity, the system will fill in the rest based off the inventory items settings and defaults on the right.  All fields may be overwritten as you enter transactions.

Import from Excel

You may use your own spreadsheet or have the system create one for you.  Here you select the Excel Spreadsheet, date of the transaction, your starting reference and reason for adjustment.  If the reference field contains numerical digits they will auto incremented for each row (same as Sage 50 and Peachtree).  The allow duplicates checkbox will pervent duplicate entries from being imported.

Only the first 3 columns are reqired: ItemID, Quantity and TransType.   Any columns to the right may be used for your own purposes and is not included in the import.  You may also abbreviate the Transtype column with i for Increase/decrease and o(letter) for Onhand.

Create your import file for Sage 50 and Peachtree Accounting

This screen will create the import CSV file for Sage 50 and Peachtree Accounting.  After the file is created, you control when you want to import the actual transactions into Sage 50 and Peachtree Accounting.  This gives you complete control when your transactions are posted.

Sample Count Sheet

There are three reports inside DS Inventory Adjustments.  This one below is a sample of the Count Sheets.  You have the option to filter your data by location or product type.  You will notice a barcode on the report.  This barcode contains your ItemID using 3 of 9 Extended Symbology.  This is a very popular barcode that can be read by almost all barcode readers.  Using barcodes is optional and is there to help the user enter the Inventory ItemID accurately and increase entry speed.

These sheets would normally be handed out to your staff to perform the physical count of the inventory.  Once completed they would return them to be entered into the system.  There are many ways for you to print count sheets including using existing reports within Sage 50 itself.  This report is here only as additional option.

DS Inventory Adjustment software was created in Microsoft Access. You will need to have the Microsoft Office 32bit version installed due to Sage 50/Peachtree database drivers only support a 32bit version.
