How Can We Help?
Sage 50 Accounting could not be started
Sage 50 Accounting could not be started. Please try again. If you continue to have problems, call Customer Support.
Normally this error happens when the Database Service Manager (the workstation engine for Sage 50) is not running or not responding.
Using a stand-alone computer
If you are running Sage 50 on a stand-alone computer (data resides on your computer) you may just try to start Sage 50 again by clicking on the icon. Normally a second try will work, the first try should have started the Database Service Manager.
If you still cannot start Sage 50 then a computer reboot is in order. After your computer reboots let it sit for a minute or two before you try starting Sage 50 again. This will give the services some time to start up.
Using a Server
If you are using a Server, try starting Sage 50 on the Server. Again you may have to try starting it twice. if that does not work you may need to reboot the Server. Make sure all user have close all their applications prior to rebooting.
