Unable to install or activate Sage 50 US Editions version 2019 and older.

OR

Due to a third-party database component that is no longer supported, Sage 50 US users will be unable to install and activate Sage 50 US versions 2013 through 2019.

Due to an unsupported 3rd party database component, you will be unable to reinstall or reactivate this version.  Upgrade to the latest version to avoid disruption to your practice and your clients.

What is this message about?

The 3rd party database component they are referring to is the database workstation engine that supplies data to your Sage 50 US versions.  Sage 50 uses the Pervasive/Actian database engine to store your accounting data.

What they are really saying is that they are discontinuing activation of the database within Sage 50.  This is done when you install Sage 50 on your computer.
