Btrieve Error 88 – incompatible mode error

The application encountered an incompatible mode error – Error 88

When trying to run a DSStudio Report or Export.

Issue

This error is caused by another user is using Sage 50 / Peachtree in an exclusive mode.  This could be changing the period, closing a fiscal year, executing a purge, or running a backup.

Resolve

Wait until the process is completed and retry executing the report.
