In order for any outside applications to access your Sage 50 or Peachtree Accounting data, you must allow access.  This is a one-time setting change for each company.  You must follow the steps for each company you wish DSStudio to work with.

• Access to your accounting data is READ ONLY. 
• A username and password are used to prevent unauthorized access.
• The User ID is fixed to “Peachtree” you do not have the ability to change it.
• The password is limited to 8 characters.  

Start Sage 50 or Peachtree and open the company you wish DSStudio to work with.

From the Top Main Menu select Maintain, Users, Set Up Security….

Select the Data Access / Crystal Reports Tab at the top of the User Security Window.

Select With the following login Information radio box.  Notice that ID is Peachtree.  You are unable to change this.

Click the Change button to enter a new password.  Remember the password is limited to 8 characters.  Be sure to write it down, you will need it later when you set up your reports.

Click OK once you have entered your new password and close the User Security Window.
